Welcome to the 42nd  Railroad Festival

The festival celebrates the proud railroad heritage of the City of Amory and Monroe County.  Festival attendance has increased annually and we expect that trend to continue. For four decades,  families and friends have gathered for an extended weekend of fellowship and celebration. The success and popularity centers around the food, fun, and entertainment of all who attend.  Our non-profit church organizations prepare months in advance to make the festival food court one of the best in the southeast, with traditional favorites such as pork skins, crawfish, catfish, hamburgers, pizzas, barbeque, apple fritters, and much more.  In addition to the food court, there will once again be specialty food items set up throughout the downtown area.  The Frisco Market features more than 200 vendors from throughout the southeast with items sure to peak the interest of  the most discriminating shoppers.  The Railroad Festival carnival features rides and games for all ages in a clean and safe environment. For those festival goers interested in more physically demanding activities, we offer the 5K run, mechanical bull rides, and a challenging rock wall.  In our children’s activities area we feature inflatables bouncers, water walkers, games, and face painting.  The festival Car Show promises to be another well-attended event with 200 or more vehicles expected again this year.  And finally, the entertainment provided free of charge to attendees will begin Thursday evening and conclude on Saturday.  The Amory Railroad Committee is a nonprofit organization made up of local volunteers who take  pride in giving back to their community.  As this year’s chairperson, I have the distinct honor and privilege of welcoming you to the 2020 Amory Railroad Festival!
